About me
I’m passionate about user advocacy, the written word, and designing tools that make life better—because products should bend to serve humans, not the other way around.
I believe there's elegance in simplicity and I thrive in spaces where the answers aren’t always clear.
The PMs I’ve worked with would tell you I’m known for asking smart questions, cutting the word count of an experience in half, and advocating fiercely for the user.
For a long time, I’ve been deeply interested in innovative technologies, human potential, and figuring out how to best use design and language to drive change—in communities, in societies, and in industries.
I believe that the best experiences are based on the premise that less is better: The best products know what they do and they do it well.
With experience leading content design for verticals at Microsoft, Twitter, and in fast-paced design agencies, I’ve consistently delivered big results with few words. At Twitter, I designed a feature to reduce spam and harassment for Twitter’s 390 million users, and at Microsoft, I led content design and strategy for the launch of a new enterprise social media app, Viva Engage.
Before working in big tech, I built a content design and branding studio, Andreanna Brown Inc., to help clients with UX, copywriting, brand identity, and design.
I also quench my passion for language and human potential through side projects and community service: I previously led a local public speaking club in my community, and today, I mentor designers looking to grow their careers and crafts.
When I’m not writing or designing, you can find me diving down musical rabbit holes (anything from Enya to Polyphia is my jam), sitting on the grass with a good book, or looking at cat videos on the internet.
